In January 2018 our founder was lucky enough to pay a visit to our farms and meet with our co-operative members across Indonesia to discuss our future project collaborations.
The trip began with visits to several rainforest sites which had been prepared for vine planting.
I was able to kick start the whole process and began by planting his first vine in a spot of land in the foothills of Mount Agung. One of the most active volcanoes in the world it regularly erupts and has a huge influence on the local climate. The fertile soil in the mountain is ideal for growing crops. In this instance we use local trees to trail the vines up and down so they can help aid the diversification of the local environment and thus enhance ecosystems for all sorts of wildlife.
