First Vine growth January through October 2018 in East Bali

In January our founder was lucky enough to pay a visit to our farms...

David began by planting his first vine in a spot of rainforest in the foothills of Mount Agung. One of the most active volcanoes in the world it regularly erupts and has a huge influence on the local climate. The fertile soil in the mountain is ideal for growing crops.

In this instance we use local host trees to trail the vines up and down so they can help aid the diversification of the local environment and thus enhance ecosystems for all sorts of wildlife...

Check his first vine planting below...

Stay tuned for more videos from the rainforests of Bali & rural Indonesia.

See the growth of this almost baron/sparse land transform in just 8 short months to this magnificent fertile land so densely populated you can easily get lost! Nature is truly phenomenal!

A little toast to the vanilla vine gods here by the waterside where I planted my first ever vine.

Toasting with some delicious Rum & Cane Asia Pacific rum, it seems only fitting to use a blended Indonesian rum to offer up to the gods...
